Our past and present coaches have poured countless hours of work into developing training resources for the Stingrays. We would love to give back to the Australian ultimate community by making these resources widely and freely available. Please take what you like and share with your local ultimate communities! We have tried to reference material that was not developed by the Stingrays so we do ask that you share the credit for resources you use - whether that be with original Stingrays content, or drills etc that we have credited from other sources. Stingrays 2018 Skills Pods
These pods were completed by athletes on a weekly basis over 13 weeks, in groups of between 2-5 people. The aim of the pods was to provide opportunities for individual skill development, particularly as the athletes were training outside the Australian separate gender club season.
These pods were written for an athlete who faced geographic isolation from any ultimate community that could provide training partners throughout the campaign. It took every ounce of our imagination to come up with ways for an athlete to train on their own, while still achieving the same objectives as the rest of the team who were training in small groups. We found it very difficult to find other resources to rely on so much of this program was trial and error to find what worked! We hope that this resource is helpful for anyone facing similar training challenges.
